Zac McInerney
N.S.W State Representative
My involvement with Angus Youth has stemmed from my education at Farrer Memorial Agricultural High School, Tamworth. In 2007 I received a Landmark Angus Youth Ambassador scholarship at Glen Innes Round-Up which helped boost my involvement in AY activities.
Spending the past 2 years working in Central Queensland has broadened my beef industry knowledge, which allowed me early this year to establish my own stud “Scarbah’. I am now based at Tumbi Umbi NSW, where I hope to focus on continuing to build my stud herd.
NSW is up for another very busy, but exciting year. The 2011 Round Up will be held in Glen Innes in northern NSW which will keep us all busy working towards yet another great show.
NSW would like to welcome our new ambassadors for 2010 who are Cameron Cutler, Melinda Cookson, Kimberley Smede and Lauren Berecry. After the reports from Leadership Clinic held in Armidale in early
February, I have no doubt that they will represent NSW and Angus Youth to their best ability.
NSW has an action packed year ahead. Once again, the Beef Cattle Assessment course will be held in July at Tocal. We look forward to seeing many producers, breeders and youth in providing an
educational experience over the three days it is held.
The 2011 Round Up will be held in Glen Innes on January 13th – 16th. More information is available on the Angus Youth website, or by ringing the Angus Australia office. Entry forms will be available later this year.
This year has several action-packed events that everyone can look forward to. If you have any ideas or are keen to be involved in Angus Youth and the upcoming events, please do not hesitate to call me on 0402512262.
