The University of Illinois Scholarship is awarded each year to the winner of the Angus Youth National Judging Competition. This prestigious scholarship was first awarded in 1980 and since then many of its recipients have become respected and successful members of the Australian beef industry.

To participate in the Angus Youth National Judging Competition you need to be nominated by your State Angus Committee. Each state may nominate up to two finalists and two reserves in case the other states are unable to fill their entitlements. In NSW, WA, VIC and SA these nominations are based on a state level judging competition held during cattle assessment schools.

  • To take up the overseas trip you need to be an Angus Australia member aged 21-30. State committees are requested to nominate individuals that are eligible to take up the scholarship within twelve months of winning.

  • Tertiary education is not a requirement.

  • For further details please contact Angus Youth on 02 6773 4608 or email.
